Atlantica Story

Atlantica: the International Northeast Economic Region (AINER) is defined by many things, chief among them geography, economic trends and trade patterns, common problems and experiences, and politics. The sum of these factors is a region bounded on the east by the Atlantic Ocean, on the north and west by Lake Ontario and the St. Lawrence River, and on the south by Highway I-90 to Buffalo and the southern borders of the states of Vermont and New Hampshire (Figure 0.1.).

This website is devoted to the story of Atlantica, and to creating the intellectual capital that will allow the residents of this nascent cross-border region to become aware of their economic and social potential if they act as a coherent region. Actualizing this potential is not only more possible than it has ever been before, because of the growing tendency toward continental integration and globalization. It is also imperative if this region is not to continue to lose momentum as economic activity shifts to regions the present a more attractive and efficient profile to commerce.

Here is the Story of Atlantica: the International Northeast Economic Region.
